Shortland Street celebrates 15 years as New Zealand's most successful television drama with the release of your favourite episodes on DVD for the very first time.  The lives and loves of the residents of Ferndale have captivated the nation since Shortland Street's first episode screened on May 25th 1992.  15 years later, Shortland Street is a national institution, inspiring study guides, websites, theses, exhibitions, and much speculation over the nation's coffee cups.

Set in an inner city district hospital, Shortland Street follows the lives and loves of the staff, their families, and the patients they care for.

The show is an engaging and entertaining mix of medical crises, human drama, romance and suspense.

Just about every New Zealand actor or actress has at some time been a cast member of Shortland Street, and some have gone on to star in American movies, such as Temuera Morrison, Martin Henderson, Jennifer Ward-Lealand, Michael Hurst, Karl Urban, Martin Csokas and Anna Hutchison.  Some of the current cast are sure to go on and be great talents seen worldwide, so these DVDs are potentially valuable examples of their early work.

Disc 1:  
Episodes 926, 927 (Christmas 1995): A truck smashes into the clinic reception and Carmen is among the injured.  Will Lionel lose Kirsty forever?
Episodes 1751, 1752 (1999): Nick's bugged by millenium conspiracies while MacKenzie blows up the clinic.  Frank rescues Rachel, but will MacKenzie escape with the loot?
Episodes 3123, 3124 (2004): The explosive final showdown between Chris and Dom.

Disc 2:
Episode 1170 (Xmas 1996): A special hour long episode.  David goes to Fiji to find Ellen.  A drunken Rachel passes out at the wheel of her car.
Episode 1171 (1997): Ellen's good news travels fast.  Can Rangi save Rachel as well as himself?  Caroline's dreams come true.
Episode 1460 (1998): The talent quest heats up as sparks fly between Ellen and Rangi.  Rachel is struck by lightning and falls in lust with Nick.
Episodes 1469, 1470 (1998): Nick and Rachel take things a step further.  The trolley wars heat up.  Minnie enlists Fergus' help.  Just how far will Johnny go to win back his son?
Episode 3509 (2006): Craig and Sarah - together at last!

Episodes 675, 676 (Xmas 1994): Kirsty and Lionel's fairytale wedding - what does Darryl have planned?
Episodes 1400, 1401 (Xmas 1997): The jury delivers Caroline's verdict.  Lionel and Kirsty's travel plans are disrupted when their plane goes down.  Rangi and Donna discover they are related.
Episode 3599 (2006): A car bomb in the Shortland Street car park kills Huia and injures Sarah.
Episode 3601 (2006): Craig mourns at Huia's tangi.

Each disc is 170 mins.  PAL region 4 format.
