The Sterling Silver Australian Possum Charm is a bit of an enigma. The Brushtail Possum was introduced into New Zealand in the 1880s, and quickly became a pest. It eats through tonnes of native forest every night, and kills our native birds. So we are doing everything we can to eradicate the species.
In Australia, with its warmer climate, the possum doesn't breed as often as in New Zealand, so it isn't considered a pest over there.
So in New Zealand you might buy the charm for a possum hunter, and in Australia you might buy it for the nature lover!
Whatever the reason, it is a cute charm, which can be worn on a charm bracelet or neck chain.
The Possum charm measures approximately 5/8" (15mm) long.
Proudly made in New Zealand.
