The hand-carved Bone Pendant is scrimshawed with the Mangotipi Maori tattoo design.  The scroll design is typical of Maori tattooing on the thigh, but now is more commonly seen on the arm or shoulder.

All the pendants in this Maori Tattoo range are hand carved in New Zealand, and the scrimshaw designs have been created by a New Zealand tattoo artist, based on traditional Ta Moko tattooing.
