To the unitiated, Cabin Bread is actually a large, fairly tasteless dry cracker.  Great for anyone on a diet!  I fondly remember Cabin Bread from a rather scary jaunt on a trading ship around the outer lying islands of the southern Cook Islands group.  Cabin Bread was the only food I could keep down!

Cabin Bread can be found on many South Pacific islands, and is still sold extensively in New Zealand.
