This beautifully carved New Zealand Maori Bone Pendant shows off elements of the Maori Kowhaiwhai ( rafter pattern) featuring the White Pointer Shark ( Mangotipi). Below the Mangotipi are Korus, also an important part of Kowhaiwhai.
The bone pendant has been carved by local Maori Carver, David Taylor.
As with all Maori designs, the Mangotipi bone pendant carries a spiritual message as well. With the design based on the White Pointer Shark, the spiritual message is one of strength and power. The Korus represent peace, tranquility and personal growth.
The bone pendant is approximately 2" long and hand carved in New Zealand. It comes to you on a traditional black cord and on a descriptive card.
