I call this carved greenstone piece the Fat Carved Greenstone Koru Necklace because it is just that. Fat, substantial, thick... and fabulous. There's nothing quite like holding a substantial piece of greenstone in your hand.
This piece of pounamu is carved in the Maori Koru shape, similar to a wave ( so popular with surfers). The Koru design is inspired by the uncurling fern frond, and it carries a Maori spiritual meaning as well. The Koru design represents peace, tranquility, personal growth, positive change and awakening, new life and harmony. So there are lots of good reasons for buying this for yourself or a loved one.
The Koru is further enhanced by Maori carving engraved into the front surface. You're lucky, you can wear it with the carving showing, or wear it with the plain back showing. Both ways are beautiful.
The Fat Greenstone Koru Pendant measures approximately 1 1/2" (4.5cm) in diameter and is 1/4" (6mm) thick. It comes to you in a kete woven bag with descriptive card, and hangs from a traditional black waxed cord ( approx 26" - 66cm - in length).
