New Greenstone Range
An exciting new range of greenstone jewellery arrived recently. Modern styling, designed to show off the natural beauty of New Zealand's greenstone jade. The range includes pendants ( as well as a paua and pearl pendant) and two styles of greenstone cufflinks .
And from our existing carvers, more Maori greenstone pendants - hooks, koru, and a cute little Greenstone Twist that will appeal to people who like their jewellery on the small side.
More Bone and Cook Island Mother of Pearl Pendants
From Rarotonga, a couple of new Black Mother of Pearl pendants - turtle pendants, and waka ama (outrigger canoe) pendants .
From David Taylor, more Maori-made bone pendants.
And just in, some superbly crafted bone pendants incorporating tea stain and binding. You'll find them in the New Products section.
For the kids...and their kids....
Just arrived, a fabulous new Kids Stainless Steel Cutlery Set , for the littlies ready to eat at the table. An ideal gift purchase
for those wanting to create a future heirloom.
Buzzy Bee
The Buzzy Bee range has been re-designed. We have a fresh new Buzzy Bee toy, Buzzy Bee mobile, Buzzy Bee 5-pc Dinner Set, and Buzzy Bee Christmas Decorations ( which are already being purchased for year round decorations).
More Gorgeous Glass Sculptures
You're loving the large Glass Sculptures as wedding and anniversary gifts, and we now have a lovely new Heart shape, plus smaller versions that look
great in sets.
Silver Fern Sunglasses
Silver Fern Sunglasses are back, more stylish, even easier to use. Very cool for wearing to the rugby, parties,
etc.
Iron-on NZ Prints
Jazz up your t-shirt or sweatshirt
with an iron-on transfer. Choose from a Koru or a NZ Flag
.
Kiwi, NZ Map and Tiki Silicon Ice Cube Trays
Now you can have great fun at parties by offering your guests Kiwi, NZ Map or Tiki ice cubes. Perfect for Waitangi Day, Christmas, Anzac Day, birthdays
etc. The silicon ice cube trays can also be used to make shaped butter pats, chocolates and gummy candy ( for which we have a recipe).
Rugby World Cup 2011
We can't wait for the RWC 2011 to be held in New Zealand, and some souvenirs are appearing already. We've got a 2011 Rugby
Bumper Sticker and a 2011 Rugby Keychain in stock, and no doubt there'll be more to come.
Pukeko Umbrella and Tote Bag
One of our much-loved native birds, the Pukeko, features on this new Pukeko Collapsible Umbrella and Pukeko Tote Bag. Artwork by New Zealand artist, Dawn Barry. To go with them, a fully beaded Pukeko Purse .
Retro New Zealand Souvenirs
There's a lot of interest in retro New Zealand souvenirs. A re-visiting of the past, a re-appreciation of older New Zealand collectibles. So I've put together a section called just that - Retro New Zealand Souvenirs . Teaspoons, tea towels, that sort of thing.
Email me if you want anything added or think some other item we already stock should rightfully be
in the Retro section. This might progress to an interesting debate on what is or isn't "retro". :-) And y'know, I can still source souvenir velvet wall scrolls, if anyone is interested......
Easter Eggs - grab 'em now!
Don't forget to grab yourKiwi Easter Eggs now, so you'll have them in good time for Easter (2nd April).
Other bits and bobs...

Kiwi need our help right now!
Due to the drought we are experiencing in Northland this summer, some of our native Kiwi birds are starving. The ground is too hard and dry for them to get their beaks into, to feed. Normally norturnal, kiwis have been seen
staggering around during the daytime in search of insects. This makes them easy targets for predators.
So if you have been thinking about buying something from our Save the Kiwi Collection ( which initiates a donation by Shopenzed.com to the Whangarei Native Bird Recovery Centre ), I do encourage you to buy it now. The Centre is struggling to manage the cost of feeding all the starving Kiwis that
have been handed in to them, and they could do with all donations. If you would like to make a separate donation directly to the Centre, let me know.
The good news is that our Shopenzed.com bird, Barney, who was released last year into native bush near here, is, in the words of his tracker, "as fat as butter". So he has definitely found a good food source and must be tough enough to fight off other kiwi for
territory.
Steak n Cheese Pie Recipe
For all of you hankering for a Steak n Cheese Pie, the individual kind that you buy here from a bakery or dairy, I have come up with a recipe that my kids say is better than store-bought. I've placed
it at the top of our New Zealand recipe section >>>
Some of our Customer Feedback this month
"A huge thank you for the speedy arrival of the leather kiwi money box; it's FAB! It will make a fantastic Valentines
gift for my husband, who is missing NZ big time". - Jeannette, UK, 26 Jan 2010
"I received your package in the mail...thank you so much! The jacket fit my daughter the way she lies...enough room to wear something under it...and she loves it! (It is more stunning than in person than in your photo and very
high quality!)". - Annette, USA, 6 Jan 2010
News from New Zealand
If you're in Hokitika next month and have tickets to their Wild Foods Festival, you'll be able to partake of the likes of pukeko, huhu grubs and worm truffles, washed down with Moonshine in a drench
gun!
Sheep wool keratin, as found in our Cynergy TK skincare , is now being
used successfully in a hair straightening product.
