This Maori Bone Twist Hook Necklace is a genuine Maori-made Bone Pendant, created in the South Island of New Zealand.

The simple but effective design incorporates two Maori spiritual designs - the Hei Matau (hook) and the Pikorua (twist). 

In the case of the Hook ( Hei matau), the design signifies good luck, good health, and prosperity.  It is also used as a good luck charm for safe travel over water.

The Twist ( Pikorua) signifies the joining together in friendship of two people for all eternity.

The Maori Twist Hook Necklace measures approximately 1 5/8" (4cm) in length and comes to you on a traditional black adjustable cord.  It has been decorated with some lovely Maori carving on the lower edge.
