This stunning Maori Adze (Toki) Pendant combines the beauty of both Greenstone and Paua Shell, finished with fabulous cord lashing at the top.

On one side of the Adze is Greenstone Jade. Lining the other side are pieces of New Zealand Paua Shell, encased in resin to protect them.  Around the top of the Toki, superb traditional Maori lashing completes the pendant.

Maori designs carry a spiritual meaning as well.  In the case of the Toki, which was most often seen worn by Maori elders, the toki is a sign of power, wisdom and authority.
