Greenstone Double Koru Pendant (GNP10) -

This lovely piece of greenstone jade has been carved into the beautiful Maori symbol of new life and peace, the Koru. As you can see in the photo, there are actually two matching korus in the design.
The Koru design was inspired by the uncurling of our native fern fronds, as seen in my other photo. It represents new life, new beginnings, and personal growth. It is also a symbol of peace, harmony and tranquility. Quite a powerful piece to wear around your neck!
The piece of greenstone is a beautiful dark green, flecked with black. Held up to the light, even more of its natural beauty can be viewed.
This is a lovely piece of ethnic jewelry to wear or to gift. You might give it to a new mother, a young child, a friend going through positive change.
