The Kiwi Bird Tea Towel is a lovely memento of New Zealand, and a great source of information on our native Kiwi bird.
The generously sized 29" x 18 3/4" tea towel provides useful information on the Kiwi, its habits, and species. There is also information about Kahukiwi, the traditional Maori cloaks made from kiwi feathers woven into flax fabric.
Pictured on the Kiwi tea towel is a Kiwi bird and its egg, kiwi feathers, and a Maori woman with moko ( chin tattoo) holding a Patu and wearing a Kiwi feather cloak.
A portion of the sale price of this Kiwi towel is donated by us to the Whangarei Native Bird Recovery Centre, to assist in the rearing of Kiwi chicks and the healing of injured Kiwis. So thank you for helping to save the kiwi!
