Toki means Adze in English. The Toki was an essential tool for the survival of a Maori tribe, and was usually fashioned from stone.
This Hei Toki Pendant is carved from bone. Its spiritual meaning is one of strength and power. But David has also carved a series of notchings into the pendant, and these represent:
