This stunning New Zealand Maori Bone Pendant is in the shape of an Adze, a "Toki".  Carved into the Toki is a scrimshaw design, depicting Maori rafter patterns - "Kowhaiwhai".  To finish it off, the pendant is beautifully wrapped and bound with a cream cord. 

Each traditional Maori design carries a spiritual meaning.  In the case of the Toki, the design represents strength, control, determination and focus.  A particularly nice piece to give to a guy, but either sex can wear it.
