Maori Koruru Tiki Mask
This nicely carved wood New Zealand Maori Koruru Tiki mask has been made from a beautiful native timber called Matai, with Paua shell (abalone) eyes.
The wood mask is an ornamental carving found on the gable apex of Maori Meeting houses. Koruru refers to a carved human face. The design of this particular carved face is called weku.
The Maori Koruru mask measures approximately 140 x 85 x 32mm (5 1/2" x 3 3/8" x 1 1/4"). It comes with a card detailing its origins, and a hole in the back for you to hang it on your wall.
