Maori Warrior Doll
This Maori Warrior Doll shows the traditional garb of a Maori male. The face is tattooed with Ta Moko, a design which shows the standing of the person, their rank, family, occupation, and status.
Around his neck he wears a hei-tiki, a greenstone tiki and symbol of fertility.
His korowai cloak would be made from flax (represented here), dog skins or feathers. Underneath he wears a piupiu, a flax skirt.
In his hand he carries a taiaha, a spear-like weapon.
The Maori Warrior doll stands approximately 17cm ( 7") tall. He comes to you attractively boxed, with further information on New Zealand and the Maori culture. Purchase him on his own or purchase him as a set with the 17cm Maori Woman and Baby.
