This fabulous Maori Bolo Tie is carved from native New Zealand timber, and it is carved in the city of Rotorua, the heart of Maori carving in New Zealand.
Bolo ties fit around the neck, under a shirt collar. The Bolo slide, in this case the Tiki, can be positioned at the neck or worn lower down on the chest. A favoured tie for anyone into Country & Western music, as well as in parts of the USA.
The Tiki is a carved figure of the first Maori male, created by the god Tane. This carved wooden Tiki measures approximately 6cm (2 3/8") long. It can be worn by both men and women.
