NW206b - Merino Possum Stripe Socks

Experience the softness, warmth and breathability of Possum Merino.

LUXURY - Premium grade possum fur is carefully blended with fine merino lambswool to create an exclusive yarn that is warmer than wool alone.

WARM - The unique hollow structure of possum fibre enables it to trap heat, making possum/merino garments incredibly warm but also incredibly light to wear.

Research by Otago University ( New Zealand) shows that Native World possum garments are 55% warmer than 100% merino wool and 35% warmer than 100% cashmere.

SOFT - Possum fur is soft to touch and gentle against the skin, making it a comfortable fibre for all to wear.

DRY - The wickability of Possum and Merino means moisture is moved away from the skin, leaving you warm and dry.

ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND - By purchasing this product you are helping save New Zealand's native birds and trees.  The Australian Brushtail Possum was introduced into New Zealand in the 1800s, with disastrous results.  The possums breed prolifically, kill our native birds and their eggs, and chew through enormous amounts of our native bush.  If we don't get rid of the possum, we face the possible extinction of native species, in particular our beloved Kiwi bird.

The manufacturers of Native World Possum Merino knitwear are also involved in the Kiwi Recovery Programme, by "adopting" Kiwi chicks reared at the Kiwi Recovery Centre.  So thank you for helping to Save the Kiwi!

Backed by our Shopenzed.com 365-day money back guarantee, you're assured of a quality product.
