The shape of this greenstone pendant is the Maori Twist, Pikorua.  This Twist design carries a spiritual meaning.  The Twist, also called the Infinity Loop, represents the flow of energy between the physical and the spiritual worlds.  More commonly, though, it represents friendship and love between two people.  The infinity loop, with no beginning or end, signifies the nature of true love or friendship...no beginning, no end, going on for all eternity.
