Why are they called Baby Rugs?  Well first of all, they are made baby size.  They measure approximately 31" x 20".  Perfect for fitting into a bassinette, cot, pram or stroller.  Babies love to lie on wool - it is warm, cuddly, and soft.  (NB: If laying baby to sleep on a sheepskin rug, please cover the rug with a sheet or blanket and lay baby on their back only).  

Here in New Zealand, we put sheepskins in our prams or strollers to ensure our babies' back and kidneys are kept warm, and to make their ride super-comfortable.  We also strongly believe in babies having "tummy-time", so we lay our babies down on a sheepskin rug where they can practise their neck-strengthening and crawling in comfort.  ( Again, in the interests of safety, never leave your baby unattended when face-down on the rug).  

As babies mature, their sheepskin rug becomes a favorite mat to play on and a comforter to cuddle up with.

The rug is machine washable and has been specially sanitised to protect our beloved babies.
