This gorgeous Pukeko Tote Bag features art by New Zealand artist Dawn Barry .
Our much loved Pukeko is a colourful swamp hen that frequents farm land and roadside ditches. Not loved by farmers, since the Pukeko is quite aggressive when it comes to lambs and the like, but loved by those of us who don't have to contend with this and can just view them as we drive along rural roads.
As mentioned, this Pukeko design is by Dawn Barry. Dawn lives and works in Riverton as a freelance Graphic Designer and Artist. Her paintings are regularly exhibited throughout New Zealand and she is represented in galleries in Wellington, Christchurch and Whitianga. Her works are in oils or acrylic, mixed and digital media.
What a wonderful gift for Kiwis to give to all their rellies and Kiwi friends overseas. It's sure to make them homesick, and hopefully draw them back to Aotearoa. And this lovely Pukeko Tote Bag would brighten anyone's world.
The Pukeko Tote Bag is generously sized. It measures 16 1/4" (41.5cm) wide x 13 1/4" (33.5cm) long x 4 3/4" (12cm) deep. It is fully lined and has an inside pocket.
And it matches the Pukeko collapsible umbrella.
