This gorgeous set of Deer Button Maori Koru Pendants would make an awesome married couple, partners, or best friends gift.  Any situation where two people want to wear the same pendant.  And a special pendant, with a very special meaning to it.

The Maori Koru design is inspired by the uncurling New Zealand Native Fern Frond.  It carries a spiritual meaning, one that represents peace, tranquility, personal growth, positive change and awakening, new life and harmony.  So a very positive, inspiring gift to give anyone in your life.

This work of art is handcarved using a totally natural product, and one where the animal was not harmed in order for this carving to be produced.

New Zealand has a large deer farming industry.  Deer shed their antlers each year, and new ones grow each Spring.  These antlers grow from a "bud" and take 4 months to reach full size.  When the antlers are harvested, the remaining portion is called a "button", and this button is shed naturally to leave the bud ready to produce a new set of antlers.

The buttons are collected and it is within this button that this carving has been created.

Each Deer Button Koru Pendant measures approximately 1 1/2" (4cm) long, and rests on a traditional black waxed cord with adjustable toggle.  The cord is approximately 30" (76cm) long.

Your Deer Button Koru set comes in a black display box, along with information on the meaning of the design and the origins of the deer button.
