Maori Concert Pois
Here is a set of New Zealand Maori Long Poi, just like the ones used at Maori cultural performances in New Zealand.
Originally the poi was used by Maori warriors to keep their wrists supple in preparation for wielding weapons in battle. Much later, they were (and still are) used by women when performing action songs. Many of us, including myself, have grown up learning the poi at school.

You can choose from the poi with tassles (main photo), or the poi with coloured balls (see photo below).
